Our Process
Quote Requests
The first step to working with Joshua Bate Trading Bermuda Ltd. is requesting a quote. Prospective customers provide details on the items they are interested in including quantity, brand/manufacturer, model number and size or finish if applicable. Quote requests may be submitted by Phone, Fax or email.
Quotations
As soon as Joshua Bate Trading Bermuda Ltd. receives a Quote Request, we usually respond within one business day. If you have submitted a Request and it has not at least been acknowledged within 1 business day, please call us to confirm receipt.
Quotations are usually provided within 1 to 3 business days and include details of all landed costs to Bermuda with the exception of local trucking charges. Joshua Bate Trading Bermuda Ltd. uses Fast Forward to receive and deliver their orders and the trucking charges are determined after the goods are delivered. Fast Forward charges the standard $75 per hour and the cost of delivery increases depending on customer location, obstacles (ladders, stairs, awkward entries, etc.), requirements (unpacking, removal of old appliances, etc.) and any other time or labor intensive duties. Typically, most deliveries average between $75 and $150. Customers may also pick-up their orders, however there is a $20 Fee and pick-up needs to completed at Fast Forward's warehouse between 1 pm and 2 pm during the week.
Quotation are valid for 30 days. Although prices do not often change after 30 days, we need to confirm with our vendors to honor pricing over 30 days.
Purchasing
As soon as customers make payment of the “Total 1st Cost” (or the "Landed Cost") as detailed on the Quotation, the orders are expedited immediately. Payment may be dropped off or mailed to our Devonshire office and we accept Cash and Checks in either Bda or US dollars. Electronic payments are also accepted. To receive details regarding Electronic payments to Joshua Bate Trading Bermuda, Ltd., send us an email and we will forward the necessary instructions. As soon as payment is received, an Acknowledgement is sent to the customer to confirm the order has been placed.
Shipping and Delivery
As soon as goods are loaded, customers are notified of the sailing date of their order. Fast Forward then contacts them within a week or so to arrange delivery. After the goods are delivered, Joshua Bate Trading Bermuda Ltd. sends the Final Invoice to the customer that includes trucking charges. Payment is expected within 30 days or less. |
